On Saturday 9th May I went along to the Wisteria festival held at Cannington by Bridgwater College at their Centre for Land Based Studies. They asked me to take some shots for their photo library and also for publicity.
There were lots of things to see. Below we have the big greenhouse found in the Walled Gardens recently visited by HRH the Earl of Wessex Prince Edward .

There was a competition for local schools to design a small garden.

There were live willow making displays.

There was also a bodging display with furniture being made the old way with fresh beech branches.

There was a chance to see what it is like to study aboriculture by climbing a tree.

There were lots of exotic animals to look at and hold in the new animal care centre.

Or if horses were your interest you could visit the stables at the equestrian centre or even ride on a horse.

If you had the time you could squeeze in a picnic whilst listening to the live band playing in the Walled Gardens. A brilliant day.
