School event photographer
I’ve provided more than 90,000 images for Millfield School in Street, including classical music, ballet, modern dance, and theatrical events on stage. Similarly I have taken athletics photos for Millfield School and Preston School (Yeovil) during their sports days and charitable fundraisers.
Awards Ceremonies
My event photography services are suited for many types of business big and small. I have worked with University Centre Somerset on their Graduation ceremonies. I have also worked with Bridgwater & Taunton College for many of their Star Awards ceremonies, their Apprenticeship Awards and their Construction, Automotive and Engineering awards.
Opening Ceremonies
Scania in Bridgwater opened a new service centre for which I was there to take photos of the opening ceremony. I also contributed construction photos during the build process. My images were used by Scania in their press releases, internally and internationally.

Event photography is the most common type of photography I do. The beginnings of my business photographing weddings has been a great asset to me, as it taught me how to deal with more challenging lighting conditions, limited spaces to work in, and tight time frames.
You will usually find me photographing school music events and school theatre events locally in Somerset. Both have their individual challenges, but they are not really a challenge anymore as I have long since overcome the obstacles associated with them.
Event photography requirements are usually that the photographer (me) should capture the event from multiple angles, get well timed and well composed photos that give the whole picture of the event, whilst also not being in the way and causing a distraction.
I am not phased by photographing large events because I am confident that I can easily capture excellent photos. Many a time I have done event photography for local companies where there have been over a thousand people in attendance, or such as a graduation ceremony where I have literal seconds to capture each graduate on stage.
I am experienced enough that my photos show both technical and creative excellence at the point of capture and the editing stage.
I am used to working to a time schedule handed to me and capturing the key moments noted beforehand in the brief.
