Last year I was lucky enough to be invited along by Canon to shoot some fashion photography at the London Fashion Weekend straight after London Fashion Week. I had the opportunity to shoot from the same position as world leading fashion photographers who were there only days earlier. The event was hosted at Somerset House.
The experience was second to none; professional advice for how to get the best shot (for a type of photography which is quite new to me), perfect lighting, and a clear view of the catwalk. I hadn’t had my Canon 1DX too long at that point so I was eager to put it through its paces on something new.
I was huddled together with dozens of other photographers, but all were helpful and friendly and respected each other’s space. I think we all got a lot out of the experience and enjoyed using equipment that in those conditions yielded stunning results.
