I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with Robert & Gemma’s wedding when I met them at the farm a week or so before the wedding day. We walked around the farm and discussed ideas and I must admit I did wonder how the pictures would look in such a working environment. Well I needn’t have worried, the two of them had a few things they pulled out of the bag that definitely made their wedding stand out from the crowd.
The best photos always come from couples who are laid back and willing to try a few things whilst keeping a smile on their face. Robert & Gemma were brilliant for this and we had a lot of fun.
First I got some shots of Robert and his groomsmen on the farm
Next it was off to see the girls get ready in the hairdressers.
There was no room for any doubt that this was a farming family with a gigantic bright red tractor neatly parked outside the church in Wembdon
After the ceremony Robert & Gemma left in a somewhat older tractor. This photo is taken on the farm with the beautiful rolling hills in the background. I later took a photo of the two of them with Glastonbury Tour in th background as that is where Robert proposed to Gemma.
Never in the time I have been photographing weddings have I had to photograph such a large group of people. It looked like it was going to be a mammoth undertaking, but amazingly this shot only took about 15 minutes to get into place and everyone fit in to place beautifully.
