I always enjoy trying out new things and this evening was no exception. I have taken plenty of colourful photos at night, but not photographs of fireworks. Well tonight, Halswell House in Goathurst Somerset, held a spectacular fireworks display, so I made sure I got a few shots of it. I knew the theory of how to set up the camera for this sort of thing, but until tonight I hadn’t put it into practice. I only had 15 minutes to get enough good shots so the learning curve was pretty steep. I ended up with some very satisfactory colourful images in the end though. I hope to be able to try it again one day as I learnt a few tricks.
