A glassware photography experiment
Over the years I have kept in touch with a number of good photographers and one thing that came up recently was glassware photography. Photographing glassware has a number of challenges. Dealing with glass means dealing with reflections. Basically anything you put near something made of glass will reflect, but you can use that to your advantage if you know how. These photos were just a bit of fun and basically a personal experiment into glassware photography. I wanted to see what challenges there would be photographing glass and how easy it would be to overcome basic obstacles. Now obviously these are very simple photos, but with tweaks to my setup, I could produce some really interesting glassware photography by adding extra pieces, and using a larger surface to work. At a high level it can get very technical. So if you are a glass manufacturer and require some glassware photography for your catalogue or website, give me a call. I’d be happy to photograph a few of your items without charge as a test, and then if you are happy with the initial results, we can negotiate a price depending on the requirements and how many pieces need photographing. You can find more product photography at on my product photography page. Contact me by dropping me an email to ask about photographing your products.
